Arsenal now leading race to sign in-form Dutch star
Arsenal are reportedly at the front of the queue to sign Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee during the summer transfer window.
The Netherlands star has been one of the best strikers in Italian football this term. He has notched up 10 goals and six assists.
His progress has been closely monitored by the Gunners and TuttoMercatoWeb claim that they are favourites to sign him.
AC Milan are also keen on the highly-rated forward, but the Gunners have an upper hand with excellent relationship with his agents.
Bologna are still expected to demand a premium fee for the striker, who has started to find his feet after a difficult debut campaign.
Zirkzee has the ambition of playing Champions League football and he may have the chance to play in the competition with Bologna too.
However, the Serie A outfit are unlikely to stop him from leaving for a lucrative fee. They will sell him for between €50-60 million.
Bayern will be owed 50 per cent of the sell-on fee above €8m.
