Standards have dropped - Roy Keane slams Man Utd after derby loss
Manchester United legend Roy Keane has slammed the Red Devils following the 3-1 derby defeat to Manchester City on the road.
United secured a surprise lead through Marcus Rashford 's stunning strike in the eighth minute, but that was their only shot on target.
City could not level the scores before the interval, but they were the better team in the second half and won comfortably in the end (3-1).
Speaking after the game, Keane was far from impressed with some pundits praising United for holding onto their lead for so long.
He said: "Standards have dropped. We're almost praising United. They've lost. They used to perform in the big games and compete."
"Now we're sitting here saying they did did alright, better shape. They lost 3-1. For half and hour they were just hanging in there and didn't get a kick."
United have suffered a huge setback in their pursuit of the top four. They are now 11 points behind Aston Villa for the last Champions League spot.
