Chelsea unlikely to sign Victor Osimhen - David Ornstein
Chelsea are unlikely to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen this summer due to Financial Fair Play issues.
The west London giants have spent over £1.2 billion since Clearlake Capital Group took control of the club.
They now face the need to balance their books and this could impact their business during the summer.
The Blues will have to recoup at least £100m by the end of June in order to avoid future FFP sanctions.
Amidst this, Ornstein has claimed that the Blues are unlikely to be in the running to land Osimhen.
The Nigerian star currently has a £112m release clause in his deal and Napoli won't sell for less.
The Blues are unlikely to afford the sum in a single payment.
On top of this, Osimhen's wage demands could be another stumbling block.
He is set to demand £250,000-a-week which would make him the second highest earner at Chelsea .
The Blues are unlikely to meet his requirements, partly with another season without Champions League football.
