Man Utd confirm double injury blow ahead of Liverpool tie
Manchester United have confirmed the absence of two players ahead of the FA Cup quarter-final against Liverpool at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils recently returned to winning ways with a 2-0 win over Everton at home. They now face a tougher challenge against the Reds and ahead of the game, the club will be without two players.
First of all, goalkeeper Altay Bayindir has been ruled out with a minor muscle injury. The Turkey international has withdrawn from international duty and will take at least two weeks to recover from the setback.
Jonny Evans has also withdrawn from Northern Ireland duty with a minor concern of his own. The veteran centre-back is anticipated to return following the international break for the Red Devils.
United are scheduled to host Jurgen Klopp 's side on Sunday. While Bayindir and Evans won't feature, the likes of Rasmus Hojlund , Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka could be involved.
All three have recovered from their respective injuries and were training with the team in today's session. There is a good possibility that the trio could start from the off amid the club's injury crisis.
