Arsenal won't be signing Serie A striker this summer
Arsenal won't be signing Napoli striker Victor Osimhen during the summer transfer window, according to David Ornstein.
The north London giants are expected to pursue a marquee centre-forward for next season and they have been linked with several names.
Osimhen has been one of those on their transfer radar, but Ornstein does not believe the club will sign him or Ivan Toney this summer.
The Nigerian has had an injury-prone spell with Napoli, and the Gunners don't believe he would fit into their tactical set-up.
The same goes for Ivan Toney , who has been linked with the club for some point of time. Arsenal have moved on from him too.
Instead of the duo, a move for Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting is more realistic. The Swede has netted a stunning 36 goals this term.
He has also accumulated 14 assists for the Portuguese giants, but won't come on the cheap with a release clause of €100m.
The Gunners seem prepared to pay the required buy-out clause, considering he has proved his credentials at the top level.
