Man Utd in pole position to sign Serie A defender
Manchester United are reportedly in pole position to sign Juventus centre-back Gleison Bremer during the summer transfer window.
The Red Devils are currently looking for centre-backs in the transfer market and they have identified Bremer as one of their top targets.
It is now reported by Gazzetta dello Sport that they are ready to pay the reported €61 million release clause in his contract this summer.
Bremer is already aware of the transfer interest and he is said to be excited by the prospect of moving to the Premier League this year.
The Brazilian currently has a contract worth €178,000 per week and he may require at least €250,000 a week to join the Red Devils.
This should not be a problem for United, who are preparing to part ways with Raphael Varane at the end of the current season.
Varane is one of the highest earners at the club at €340,000-a-week and his contract is set to conclude at the end of June this year.
