Mauricio Pochettino provides new update on Christopher Nkunku
Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has provided a fresh injury update on Christopher Nkunku ahead of the Premier League clash against Manchester United.
The Frenchman joined the club from RB Leipzig last summer and picked up a knee injury in pre-season.
On his comeback, he picked up a hip concern and Pochettino is unsure over his return date.
Speaking in today's press conference, Pochettino said that his recovery is tasking longer than expected and hinted that he may not be available for the remainder of the current league season.
He said: "I don't know. I don't know. Still we don't know. At the moment, we don't know when it's possible to start training with the team [again]. I have no information. He is recovering. It's longer than we expected."
Chelsea are currently 12th in the Premier League standings with only 40 points on the board. They face a must-win situation to have any chance of qualifying for European football.
