Mauricio Pochettino reacts after Chelsea draw at Sheffield
Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has said that the Blues need to be more clinical following the 2-2 draw against Sheffield United in the Premier League.
The Blues recently registered a dramatic 4-3 win over Manchester United and they had the momentum heading into the Sheffield game. However, they were unable to capitalise and shared the spoils in the end.
Speaking after the stalemate, Pochettino said that the team are scoring a lot of goals at the moment, but they are also conceding too much. The Argentine feels the club can't get the right balance.
He said: "We need to be more clinical. The team is scoring a lot of goals but we are conceding too much. We need to find this balance. At the moment we can't get the right balance of scoring goals and conceding less."
Despite the result, the Blues are only five points behind United for the sixth position and have a game in hand. They could still qualify for the Europa League with a strong end to the league campaign.
The west London giants can also make the competition by winning the FA Cup, but that seems a difficult task. They need to beat Manchester City first to reach the final against either Coventry or United.
