Liverpool have agreed terms with Feyenoord and Arne Slot to make the Dutchman their next manager. Slot is set to replace Jurgen Klopp as the Anfield boss at the end of the season when Klopp will depart and step down as Reds' boss.
It is understood that Arne Slot has signed a three year deal at Anfield, earning £80,000 a week at the club. Feyenoord will be paid £9 million in compensation for allowing the manager to leave De Kuip.
Slot has won the KNVB Cup this season and last campaign was successful in the Eredivisie and is widely considered the best up and coming manager in The Netherlands. Two periods with Cambuur and AZ Alkmaar prior to his spell at Feyenoord also saw the manager garner a relatively high win percentage.
The compensation will be one of the highest paid on record for a manager.
Klopp still has an opportunity to win the Premier League this season, but with four games remaining it is extremely unlikely that Liverpool will catch the two duo, Arsenal and Manchester City.
