Chelsea close in on signing Brazilian wonderkid
Chelsea are close to securing the services of Estevao Willian from Palmeiras in a deal worth €65 million.
The Blues are looking to build a team for the future and they have identified Willian as one of their prime transfer targets.
The club were disappointed at missing out on Endrick to Real Madrid, and they are determined to sign his teammate Willian.
The 16-year-old has already agreed personal terms over a transfer and a deal could be finalised in the next week or so.
Chelsea have agreed to pay around €32m up front with a further €33m in the form of performance-based add-ons.
If an agreement is reached between the clubs, the young forward will stay with Palmeiras until the summer of 2025.
As per Brexit rules, Premier League teams are not allowed to register foreign clubs before the age of 18 anymore.
The Blues have also signed Ecuadorian wonderkid Kendry Paez and they could have a successful team in years to come.
