Arsenal & Chelsea to miss out on Benjamin Sesko?
Arsenal and Chelsea could miss out on signing RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko during the summer transfer window.
The Slovenian had a good second half to the season with the Bundesliga outfit. He ended the campaign with 18 goals to his name.
His release clause was reportedly at €45m in January, but that has apparently increased to €64m amid his goal contributions.
The fee is still affordable for the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea , but Leipzig are aiming to keep Sesko for another campaign.
The German outfit will propose an improved contract with a new release clause. They remain hopeful of keeping Sesko.
Sesko has yet to speak regarding his future, but he is expected to make a decision following the European Championship.
Arsenal and Chelsea will be hoping that the striker opts for a new challenge rather than staying put with the German outfit.
The Gunners would be favourites to sign him in that case, considering they have the guarantee of Champions League football.
