Newcastle eyeing cut-price deal for Arsenal goalkeeper?
Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale in a cut-price deal at the end of the season.
The England international is currently the second-choice keeper for the Gunners following the arrival of
David Raya on loan from
Brentford
.
Raya recently won the Premier League Golden Glove award for keeping the most number of clean sheets. He is expected to join on a permanent deal soon.
Amidst this, The Telegraph claim that the Magpies are keen on signing Ramsdale from the Gunners and they are willing to pay £15 million.
The news will come as a surprise for most Arsenal fans, considering the Gunners are said to value their shot-stopper at around £40m.
Ramsdale has been a regular on the bench for most of the campaign, but it would not make sense to lose him for such a low transfer fee.
Much has been said about Ramsdale's future at the club, but the Englishman has yet to reveal his desire to consider a new challenge elsewhere.
