Spurs and Man Utd to battle it out for French defender?
Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United could compete for the signature of Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo this summer.
Spurs were linked with a move for the Frenchman in January, but they decided to sign Radu Dragusin from Genoa instead.
United have also been admirers of the former Barcelona man and Nice-Matin claim that the duo could compete for his services.
Todibo has opened the possibility of leaving Nice during the summer and he would welcome a move to the Premier League.
Both Spurs and United are capable of meeting the price tag, but the centre-back may want the assurance of playing time.
In that case, United could have the upper hand over Spurs, considering Todibo could be a replacement for Raphael Varane .
Spurs currently have Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven, who are very much guaranteed starters under Ange Postecoglou .
Aside from this, United have the advantage of Sir Jim Ratcliffe , who is their co-owner as well as the owner of Nice.
