Arsenal favourites to sign French winger ahead of Chelsea
Arsenal are reportedly favourites to sign Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise ahead of Chelsea due to Champions League football.
The Frenchman had a good campaign with the Eagles despite his injury woes. He managed 16 goal contributions from just 19 outings.
He has been touted to pursue a bigger challenge elsewhere and reports claim that the Gunners could have the edge over the Blues.
Chelsea tried to sign Olise from Palace last summer. They triggered a £35m release clause but he ended up penning a new Palace deal.
His release clause has now increased to £60m. The Blues are still interested but Arsenal could beat them to his signature this summer.
Olise reportedly has the dream of playing in the Champions League and this could hand the advantage to the Gunners over the Blues.
Palace are willing to accept a long-term payment plan for the winger, provided the package is more than the buy-out clause in his deal.
