Chelsea & Man Utd pushing to sign French winger
Chelsea and Manchester United are pushing to sign Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Frenchman had an injury-plagued season with the Eagles, but he was still impressive with 10 goals and six assists from 19 appearances.
Olise currently has a release clause worth £60m in his contract and Romano claims that Chelsea and United could battle it out for his services.
The Blues were in the running to sign him last summer. They triggered a £35m release clause before he penned a new long-term deal.
Palace are aware that they won't be able to keep him this time around. United seem better placed to sign him over Olise, according to reports.
Chelsea need to balance their books first and it is claimed that one of Raheem Sterling , Noni Madueke or Mykhailo Mudryk could be sold.
United also need to recoup funds from player sales, but they are not in a desperate position to balance their books to avoid a points deduction.
