Bayern Munich want to sign Chelsea ace Levi Colwill
Bayern Munich have opened discussions with Chelsea over the potential transfer of Levi Colwill this summer.
The England international was linked with a departure last season, but he eventually penned a new long-term contract.
Colwill was a regular starter in the first half of the campaign, but his game time significantly reduced in the back end.
He was initially out of action due to a foot injury. On his return, he was an unused substitute for the final phase of the season.
Florian Plettenberg now reports that Bayern want to sign a left-footed centre-back and they have their sights on Colwill.
Initial discussions have taken place between the clubs and we should get more information over the same in the coming weeks.
Chelsea currently need to balance their books before June 30. It has been reported that they have to recoup around £110m.
Colwill's sale would represent pure profit as he is a club graduate. The Blues could be tempted to sell him for the right price.
