Dutch star agrees terms with Man Utd over transfer
Bayern Munich defender Matthijs de Ligt has agreed personal terms with Manchester United ahead of his transfer, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Red Devils recently shifted their attention to De Ligt after failing to reach an agreement with Everton over the transfer of Jarrad Branthwaite .
They have now agreed terms over a long-term deal with the Dutchman. De Ligt has accepted a pay-cut to make the move to Old Trafford.
United are currently negotiating with Bayern over the price tag and there is strong optimism that an agreement can be sorted pretty soon.
Bayern are eyeing around €50m up front for the former Ajax man, but United will be hoping to sign him for a lesser fee due to their low budget.
United are currently facing competition from Paris Saint-Germain for De Ligt, but that should not concern them due to Erik ten Hag's presence.
Ten Hag managed De Ligt at Ajax for a couple of years. De Ligt continues to share a strong bond with the Dutch tactician, according to reports.
