Bayern Munich sign Chelsea transfer target for £50m
Bayern Munich have completed the signing of Chelsea target Michael Olise from Crystal Palace for £50 million.
The Frenchman had an injury-plagued campaign with the Eagles last term, but he still impressed with 16 goal contributions from just 19 games.
Chelsea were keen on landing his signature earlier last month, but they withdrew their interest due to the salary request of the winger.
Olise wanted to be one of the highest earners at Stamford Bridge, but the Blues were reluctant to accept the forward's wage demands.
As a result, Olise decided to make the move to Bayern. The Bavarian giants were a lucrative destination with Champions League football.
Shortly after signing a five-year contract, Olise told the club's official website: "The talks with FC Bayern were very positive, and I'm very happy to now be playing for such a big club."
Despite the setback on Olise, the Blues have not given up on landing another wide player and are currently exploring the transfer market.
