Man Utd on the verge of selling Mason Greenwood
Manchester United are on the verge of selling Mason Greenwood to Marseille for an initial fee of around £21 million.
The England international spent the recent campaign on loan with Getafe where he scored 10 goals and provided six assists.
Getafe could not afford to sign him permanently and Marseille are now in pole position to land his services instead.
Lazio were also in the mix for the Englishman, but they were reluctant to meet the transfer demands of the Red Devils.
On the contrary, Les Phoceens have no such concerns and are prepared to include a 40 percent sell-on clause in the deal.
Greenwood arrived at the Carrington training base today to speak on his future and a transfer could progress very soon.
Marseille want him in the squad from the start of pre-season and are expected to push for the deal in the coming days.
Greenwood is said to be tempted by a move to Ligue 1 despite receiving plenty of attention from Serie A teams recently.
