Man Utd told to pay €60m to sign tireless Copa America star
Manchester United have been told to pay €60 million to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte in the current transfer window.
The Uruguay international was on the Red Devils' radar last summer, but he ended up joining PSG from Sporting Lisbon.
United have been granted with a fresh chance to sign him but Duncan Castles reports that he won't come on the cheap.
PSG spent a hefty fee of around €70m for his services and they are expected to hold out for at least €60m for his exit.
The Red Devils are firm admirers of the former Sporting man, but they could play the waiting game at the current point.
The club need to recoup funds from player sales to stay within the PSR limits and may not rush their decision on Ugarte.
Ugarte has already given the green light for a transfer. He is open to moving to the Premier League in the current window.
