According to Voetbal International, Ajax is interested in signing Olympique Marseille’s defender Leonardo Balerdi.

Ajax are short of cover at centre-back with Daley Blind and Lisandro Magallan both departing the club this month, while Ahmetcan Kaplan is out long-term.

According to Voetbal International, Ajax is preparing a bid to sign 23-year-old Argentinian Leonardo Balerdi from Marseille.

Balerdi has a contract with Marseille until 2026 and he has made 23 appearances for the club this season. He previously played for Boca Juniors and Borussia Dortmund before making the move to France.
