Man Utd confirm huge injury blow before Fulham game
Manchester United have confirmed a huge injury blow ahead of the Premier League opener against Fulham on Friday night.
The Red Devils suffered a major setback earlier last month with Leny Yoro and Rasmus Hojlund picking up injury blows.
Yoro is out on the sidelines for the next three months after an ankle surgery while Hojlund is out for a month with a hamstring injury.
The club have now revealed that Luke Shaw sustained a calf injury in his first pre-season training session and he is now rehabilitating.
The England international has been ruled out of the curtain-raiser and is unlikely to return to action until after the international break.
The news is a huge blow for the Red Devils, considering Shaw has established himself as one of the best left-backs in the league.
In his absence, Diogo Dalot and new signing Noussair Mazraoui could share their minutes as makeshift left-backs in the coming weeks.
The duo are right-backs, but are capable of playing from the left.
