Chelsea in advanced talks to sell striker to Serie A giants
Chelsea are in advanced talks to sell Romelu Lukaku to Serie A giants Napoli, according to reputed journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The Belgium international has been deemed surplus to requirements by the Blues and he could leave in the coming days.
Napoli manager Antonio Conte has already given the green light for the transfer, and a deal could be finalised soon.
Chelsea initially wanted his £35m release clause to be triggered, but they are now prepared to accept a much lesser figure.
Lukaku has already agreed a four-year deal with the Serie A heavyweights and he is keen to reunite with Conte in Naples.
Conte managed the Belgian during their time together at Inter Milan.
Meanwhile, the arrival of Lukaku at the Italian outfit could pave the way for the departure of Victor Osimhen this month.
Napoli are willing to sell him for around £85m and they are optimistic of receiving offers before the transfer window closes.
