Man Utd eyeing sensational move for 23yo UCL winner
Manchester United are eyeing a sensational move for Bayern Munich defender Alphonso Davies, according to Florian Plettenberg.
The Canada international has been a key starter for the Bavarian giants over the years and he has already made 205 appearances for them.
However, his future with the club is uncertain, considering he has yet to be convinced to put pen-to-paper on a new deal beyond next summer.
Bayern have no plans of meeting the wage demands for the left-back and reports claim that Real Madrid are favourites to sign him for free.
Plettenberg, however, reports that United have not given up on landing Davies and they are monitoring his situation before making a contract offer.
United may need Champions League football to persuade the Canadian and it remains to be seen whether they can achieve the feat this season.
The club are currently 11th in the league table and have made an unconvincing start in the Europa League with three straight draws.
