Man Utd weighing up opening bid for Serie A star
Manchester United are weighing up an opening bid for Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund, according to Alfredo Pedulla.
The Red Devils have identified the Dane as their priority target for the number nine role, and talks are expected soon.
The club have already agreed personal terms with the striker, and Pedulla claims that a first formal offer could be made next week.
United are ready to pay around €60m plus add-ons for the 20-year-old, but it may not be sufficient to prise him away from Atalanta.
The Serie A giants are reluctant to accept less than €90m for their wonderkid, and it is left to be seen whether United can lower the fee.
The club were successful in signing Mason Mount and Andre Onana for reduced sums. They will be hoping to repeat the same trick.
United need to secure a deal for Hojlund as soon as possible with Paris Saint-Germain said to be speaking with his representatives.
