Man Utd announce their third summer signing
Manchester United have announced their third signing of the summer transfer window with Rasmus Hojlund joining them from Atalanta.
The Red Devils reached an agreement to sign the Dane at the start of the month, but a confirmation was delayed by the formalities.
United have now officially confirmed his arrival from Atalanta in a long-term deal until June 2028. There is an option for another year.
Hojlund was presented to the fans before the recent friendly against Lens, but he may not make his debut until the beginning of September.
The 20-year-old recently picked up a minor injury in a friendly game for Atalanta, and he needs more than two weeks to reach match fitness.
Hence, United fans won't be able to see him in action immediately, but he could make his debut before the September international break.
The away game at the Emirates Stadium against Arsenal could be his maiden appearance for United, possibly from the substitutes' bench.
