Bayern Munich make formal bid to sign Chelsea star
Bayern Munich have made a formal proposal to sign Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, according to Sky Sport Germany.
The Bavarian giants recently sold Yann Sommer to Inter Milan and they are now eyeing a new goalkeeper between the sticks.
Manuel Neuer has not recovered yet from his leg break and there are suggestions that he could miss another month or two.
It is now claimed that the German champions have proposed to sign Arrizabalaga on loan with an option to buy next summer.
Arrizabalaga is currently the number one at Chelsea , but there are doubts surrounding his future after the arrival of Robert Sanchez .
The Blues recently spent £30m to sign the Spaniard from Brighton and he could displace Arrizabalaga in goal in the coming weeks.
As things stand, there has been no progress in talks between Bayern and Chelsea , but the scenario could change in the near future.
The Blues could be tempted to cut their losses on the former Athletic man, who cost them a staggering £72m in the summer of 2018.
