Ansu Fati joins Brighton and Hove Albion
Spain international forward Ansu Fati has surprised many and joined Brighton on transfer deadline day, on loan from parent club Barcelona. Fati arrives for one season and is expected to play an important part of the club's ambitions to move even furt
Roberto De Zerbi's club have been unable to persuade Barca to sell on a permanent basis, but the club's manager did comment on the deal for Fati. De Zerbi said: "This is a great deal for all of us. I am sure Ansu will help us to reach a new target and we can help him get back to the level he deserves to be."
The 20-year-old had played for Barcelona on a regular basis last season, but had reportedly been told he could leave for more first-team experience this season. Fati has appeared in 80 league games for Barca, scoring 22 goals, and has nine caps for Spain with 2 goals.
Many are excited about Fati's prospects at becoming one of the best players in the world, and therefore it is expected that he will return to the Nou Camp at the end of his spell in England.
