Man Utd left-back on his way to Granada?
Manchester United left-back Alvaro Fernandez is expected to join Granada on loan before the transfer deadline.
The young graduate spent the previous campaign on loan with Preston North End where he was very impressive.
He had some good displays for United in pre-season, but he is currently not in the plans of manager Erik ten Hag.
United are currently without Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia with injuries, but Fernandez still has no assurances of playing time.
Diogo Dalot played as the makeshift left-back last weekend while United have today signed Sergio Reguilon on a short-term deal.
Fernandez is anticipated to undergo a medical with Granada in the next hour before signing his temporary contract.
It remains to be seen whether Granada will have the option to buy him.
Fernandez said in a recent interview that he would be interested in a permanent return to Spain if the opportunity arrives.
The 20-year-old has yet to make a competitive appearance for United.
