Pioli has voiced the same to the winger and reports claim that the mixed relationship with the manager could pave the way for his exit.

United are one of the clubs closely monitoring him and they have been touted to make a serious approach for his services during the summer.

Leao is bound to cost at least €100 million. United currently don't need a left winger with the presence of Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho .

The former Lille man could be seen as a direct competitor to Rasmus Hojlund for the striker's role. Anthony Martial could be offloaded.
