Brighton and Hove Albion look to sign Bryan Gil
Bryan Gil will be allowed to leave Tottenham on loan during the January transfer window, as Brighton submit a loan offer to sign the Spanish international. Gil, who spent the last two campaigns on loan with Valencia and Sevilla, has failed to impress
Gil arrived at Tottenham in 2021 from Sevilla but has only made four league starts during that time. There was an opportunity for Gil to impress Postecoglou as the Australian manager opted to keep the Spaniard in his squad, but now there appears to be a chance for first-team action elsewhere. Spurs are also open to adding a permanent transfer release clause in the loan contract. With AFCON 2023 and a number of injuries, Brighton are looking to add attacking midfielders to their squad before the transfer window slams shut tomorrow.
Gil made his debut for Spain in 2021 and has since gone on to earn a total of four caps. He previously represented Spain's national youth sides at every level and arrived at Spurs with a massive reputation, signed for a total fee of £21.9 million.
