Man Utd and Chelsea rejected chance to sign Dortmund striker
Manchester United and Chelsea rejected the opportunity to sign Borussia Dortmund striker Sebastien Haller during the winter transfer window.
The Red Devils and Blues were fancied to sign a new striker earlier this year, but they could not afford one due to Financial Fair Play issues.
It is now reported by HITC that Haller was offered to several European clubs last month. United and Chelsea were made aware of his availability.
However, neither club were interested in landing the former Hammers man, who was available on a short-term loan with an option to buy.
Haller has had a difficult campaign with Dortmund. He has netted just two goals from 14 appearances in all competitions for the club.
The German giants have decided to part ways with him, but he could still move this month with the Turkish transfer window still open.
The likes of Besiktas and Fenerbahce could propose to sign him. Haller is said to be keen on a new challenge to secure regular game time.
