Arsenal identify Bundesliga star as prime striker target
Arsenal have identified RB Leipzig star Benjamin Sesko as their prime target to strengthen the centre-forward department.
The Gunners had a fantastic 2023/24 campaign in the Premier League and they finished just two points behind Manchester City for the top spot.
Mikel Arteta will be determined to bolster his squad further and reports claim that Sesko is the number one striker target for the Spanish tactician.
The 20-year-old joined Leipzig from sister club Red Bull Salzburg last summer and he was a regular on the bench in the first half of the season.
However, he became a constant presence in the starting XI in 2024 and ended the campaign on a high note with 18 goals in all competitions.
Sesko scored a goal in every 114 minutes for Leipzig last term. With such a statistic, we are not surprised that Arsenal are keen on signing him.
His release clause stood at around €45m in January, but that has reportedly increased to €64m on the back of his goal contributions this year.
