The 18-year-old made his full Premier League debut for the Red Devils in late 2023 and went on to become a mainstay in the XI.

The club's hierarchy are clearly impressed by his immense progress in a short space of time and they are keen to reward him for his efforts.

Mainoo is currently one of the lowest earners at £20,000 per week and his salary could be bumped to £50,000 per week with a renewal.

No negotiations are planned at the current point of time. The club could wait until his return from the European Championship in Germany.

Mainoo has been picked in England's provisional 33-man squad for the tournament and he is widely expected to make the 26-man side.

Alongside Mainoo, Luke Shaw and Harry Maguire could be involved at the Euros if they are able to prove their fitness in the coming days.
