Man Utd make final bid to sign Portuguese wonderkid
Manchester United have made a final bid to sign Portuguese wonderkid Joao Neves during the current transfer window.
The Red Devils are determined to bolster their defensive midfield department and Neves has been identified as one of the targets.
The club recently made a €60m for his services and they have now made an improved bid of €70m for the 19-year-old ace.
The proposal is reportedly the club's final one on the table, but it seems unlikely that Benfica will sanction his departure.
The Primeira Liga giants are determined to keep hold of the teenager and want him to stay for at least another campaign.
He currently has a release clause worth €120m in his deal and they are reluctant to lose him for anything less than €100m.
It remains to be seen whether United will make a fresh offer on the table for Neves, who is one of the best youngsters in Europe.
Neves has the potential to become world-class in the long run.
