Arsenal could pursue new attacker after Nketiah sale
Arsenal could pursue a new attacker in the transfer market following the departure of Eddie Nketiah this month.
The Gunners are currently negotiating a fee with Nottingham Forest for Nketiah. The 25-year-old has already agreed personal terms.
A deal worth £32m including add-ons could be finalised in the coming days. Nketiah's departure could pave the way for a new acquisition.
Arsenal were tipped to sign a new centre-forward earlier this summer, but their plans have changed with the success of Kai Havertz up front.
They are now exploring the transfer window for a versatile winger and Athletic Bilbao's Nico Williams is one of the top names on the radar.
The Spaniard has not ruled out a move away from the La Liga outfit, but a deal could be expensive as his £47m release clause must be triggered.
The 22-year-old is already one of the highest paid players in the Spanish top-flight and he could demand wages of around £300,000 per week.
