Serie A winner turns down chance to replace Ten Hag
Serie A winning manager Simone Inzaghi has turned down the opportunity to replace Erik ten Hag at Manchester United.
The Red Devils have made a dreadful start to the campaign and they are currently 14th in the table with only eight points.
The pressure is right on the shoulders of Ten Hag and The Guardian claim that the Dutch tactician could be sacked in the coming days.
Amidst this, United have approached multiple high-profile managers including Inzaghi, but he has no plans of joining them.
The Italian is fully focused on defending the Scudetto with the Nerazzurri, and he won't walk out midway through the season.
The news is a potential blow for the Red Devils, who are reportedly searching a marquee replacement to part ways with Ten Hag.
If they can't find one in the near future, assistant manager Ruud van Nistelrooy could be handed the job on a caretaker basis.
The club have not ruled out handing him the permanent role, should United make a tremendous recovery over the next few months.
