Aymeric Laporte to leave Man City for Tottenham?
Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte has emerged as a transfer target for Tottenham Hotspur, as the North London club seek a swift deal for the Spain international, who has been informed that he is free to leave the Etihad Stadium this summer.
City have already signed Josko Gvardiol , while Nathan Ake has agreed a new contract with the club this summer. Laporte could be allowed to leave for a fee of around £35 million, as the former Athletic Bilbao defender considers his next move.
Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has been active in the transfer window , but defence is an area that the Australian boss seeks to improve before the end of August.
Laporte arrived in 2018 for a fee of around £57 million, so the Premier League and Champions League winners will take a hit on a player who has appeared 120 times for the club since joining.
Beyond Tottenham , there is interest from Spain in Real Madrid as well as Bayern Munich, who have been weighing up a mega money transfer deal for the defender.
