Man Utd centre-back leaves on a free transfer
Manchester United centre-back Eric Bailly has left the club on a free transfer to join Besiktas, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Ivorian spent the previous campaign with Marseille on loan, but they declined the opportunity to re-sign him.
Bailly was touted to secure a move to Saudi Arabia earlier in the summer, but a deal did not materialise due to differences over terms.
The 29-year-old has now parted ways with United on a free to join Besiktas. He has signed a one-year deal with the Turkish giants.
The centre-back will be hoping to revive his career with the club, having struggled with form and fitness issues in recent years.
Aside from Bailly, Donny van de Beek is also expected to head for the exit door in the coming days. It could be on a temporary deal.
The Dutchman has been left out of United's Champions League squad. He has been fancied to make the move to Galatasaray on loan.
