Raheem Sterling's stance on possible England retirement
Chelsea attacker Raheem Sterling has no plans of stepping down from England duty following his exclusion for the upcoming internationals.
The forward had a poor debut campaign with the Blues last term, and he was excluded from the Three Lions squad in March as well as June.
It was anticipated that he would return to the national team due to his recent good form, but Gareth Southgate had different plans in mind.
Sterling is said to be disappointed by the recent snub, but The Telegraph report that he has no desire of calling time on his England career.
The former Manchester City star is prepared to continue working hard on the playing field in order to make the next squad in October.
Sterling has been one of the best performers for the Blues this term. Despite their slow start, the forward has impressed with two goals.
He will be aiming to continue the good form after the international break so that the Blues can climb up the table from the 12th spot.
