Roy Keane urges Man Utd to strip Bruno Fernandes from captaincy
Manchester United legend Roy Keane has urged the Red Devils to strip Bruno Fernandes from the captaincy following the Manchester derby loss.
The Red Devils suffered their fifth defeat of the league season on Sunday at the hands of Manchester City. They were convincingly beaten 3-0.
Speaking after the game, Keane was unimpressed with Fernandes and said that the Portuguese is not a captain material for the Red Devils.
He added that he is the opposite of what he would want as a captain, he said: "What I saw today, I would take the captaincy off Fernandes. He is not captain material."
"He's whinging, he's moaning. I would start with that because the manager can control that. He is the opposite to what I would want as a captain."
United have had a poor start to the campaign and they are currently stranded in the eighth spot with only 15 points on the board.
The club are already eight points behind the top four while they are 11 points behind Tottenham Hotspur for the top spot in the table.
