Man Utd ready to battle West Ham for African striker?
Manchester United are set to go head-to-head with West Ham United to sign Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy this month, according to Football Insider.
The 27-year-old has been in scintillating form in the current campaign and he has netted 19 goals from just 16 appearances for the Bundesliga outfit.
He currently has a low release clause of €17.5m in his deal and Stuttgart have been unable to eliminate the option by handing an improved contract.
Hence, he is highly expected to leave in the coming days and it is claimed that United are aiming to beat the Hammers in the pursuit of the striker.
The Red Devils are currently lagging behind their Premier League rivals in the scoring department. They are in need of an in-form centre-forward.
Guirassy would provide them that option up front. He is available on the cheap due to his buy-out clause and United need to be quick to sign him.
Aside from the Premier League duo, the likes of Bayern Munich, AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund are also interested in signing the ex-Rennes man.
