Ivan Perisic to depart Tottenham
Ivan Perisic will be allowed to return to his homeland of Croatia in a loan deal to Hajduk Split until the end of the season. The international wing-back is apparently desperate to leave Tottenham after a number of injury setbacks and a lack of first
The left-back joined Tottenham from Inter Milan in 2022 and played 39 league games, scoring one goal, but his opportunities at White Hart Lane were reduced due to constant injury. The 34-year-old had previously been an essential part of Inter Milan's team for seven years, where he helped the club famously win Serie A in 2020-21.
At 34-years-old, this will be an emotional return to Hajduk Split, the club he spent six years at from the age of 11 to 17. At 17 he moved to French side Sochaux, then going on to Club Brugge, Borussia Dortmund and VfL Wolfsburg. Perisic is a Hajduk Split supporter.
It is understood that Perisic will be allowed to leave Tottenham on a permanent basis in the summer. Current manager Ange Postecoglou has no plans to integrate the player back into his starting XI.
