Rasmus Hojlund emerges as shock target for Real Madrid
Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund has emerged as a shock target for Real Madrid ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Dane had a slow start to his career with the Red Devils this term and he only scored five goals in the Champions League until Christmas.
However, he has since been on a roll with six goals from his next seven appearances. He is starting to repay the €85m fee spent on him.
His progress has apparently caught the eye of Madrid, who are said to be determined to land a marquee striker ahead of next season.
Paris Saint-Germain's Kylian Mbappe could be available on a free this summer, but Madrid are facing big difficulties in negotiations.
The club are reluctant to meet the demands of the striker. Mbappe likewise is not keen on accepting a huge pay-cut on his current wages.
This could force Madrid to look elsewhere. They could make an ambitious move for Hojlund, but United are unlikely to sell him.
