Bruno Fernandes wants Portuguese star at Man Utd
Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has opened the door to reunite with midfielder Joao Neves at club level.
The Red Devils are long-term admirers of the Benfica wonderkid and they are exploring a deal for him in the summer.
The club are currently monitoring his progress and when pressed on the interest, Fernandes opened the door saying:
"I don't know if United rumours are true, but I know he is ready for that big jump."
"He is an excellent player, he's with the national team… that's also why the big clubs are after him."
Neves is one of the best young defensive midfielders in European football. He has excelled with his distribution and hold-up play.
The youngster also likes to engage in tackles and duels. He would be a brilliant acquisition and a statement signing for United.
Neves has a release clause of €120m in his current deal, but Benfica could be willing to lower the fee when the season ends.
