Erik ten Hag keen on transfer deal for Dutch defender
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is interested in bringing Inter Milan defender Denzel Dumfries to Old Trafford.
The Red Devils currently have
Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka as their right-back options, but the latter could leave this summer.
Wan-Bissaka's deal expires at the end of next season and there has been no progress in terms of negotiations over an extension.
He is most likely to be sold in the next transfer window and FC Inter News claim that United could pursue the services of Dumfries.
Ten Hag knows the qualities of Dumfries since his time in the Eredivisie. He tried to sign him for Ajax when the defender was at PSV.
United could well make an approach to land him this summer but they could face competition in the form of league rivals Aston Villa .
Unai Emery 's side have high ambitions and they could be a realistic target for Dumfries if they were to qualify for the Champions League.
